The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Léon Valin during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Léon Valin. Usain Bolt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Astigar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Mapovihesa FC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after SAN LORENZO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kálmán Pádár took the corner. SAN LORENZO FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Lisandro Nuñez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mapovihesa FC's Constantin Potocianu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Usain Bolt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 42nd playminute. A collision led to Mapovihesa FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Argenis Garay hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Lisandro Nuñez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAN LORENZO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Usain Bolt made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Potocianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
