The audience thought a goal was coming when Twan van Nistelrooij got free with Jacek Matuch in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. YKE's zone, Éthan Pichard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Leahu came out of the goal and Éthan Pichard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacek Matuch made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Twan van Nistelrooij sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Twan van Nistelrooij in the 9th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacek Matuch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Traian Brăiloiu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save SV Bad Harzburg from getting a goal against them. F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takeshi Bieberstein in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Traian Brăiloiu hit a great ball. Felix Leahu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éthan Pichard in the 24th minute of the match. Jacek Matuch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Brăiloiu in the 29th minute of play. Twan van Nistelrooij could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jacek Matuch made a huge save. Rodri Gol charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodri Gol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Rodri Gol hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Traian Brăiloiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacek Matuch, 2-0. In the 46th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Takeshi Bieberstein to maneuver through the defense.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Twan van Nistelrooij to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodri Gol in the 51st minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Leahu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éthan Pichard in the 52nd minute of the match. After 53 minutes F.C. YKE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jurek Ohrem who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jurek Ohrem almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu did a great save. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Twan van Nistelrooij scored 4-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacek Matuch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Derek Henderson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Bad Harzburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. YKE the free kick. Jacek Matuch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodri Gol went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Felix Leahu made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Takeshi Bieberstein sent off a good shot on target. SV Bad Harzburg's Takeshi Bieberstein got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Rodri Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Matuch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Takeshi Bieberstein. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan van Nistelrooij in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodri Gol in the 84th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Bad Harzburg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Twan van Nistelrooij was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. YKE's players had a chance to rest. F.C. YKE's Twan van Nistelrooij was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacek Matuch in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 88th minute, Traian Brăiloiu made a precise shot to the right of Jacek Matuch. SV Bad Harzburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. F.C. YKE made a substitution. Mugur Ceaușescu replaced Traian Brăiloiu. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. F.C. YKE fully deserved thier win.
