The supporters of KKS Lech Poznań booed when FC Kopeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavin Sawbridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stanislav Hajduk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Józef Mlynarczyk having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FC Kopeto's Vratislav Koželuh got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes FC Kopeto got a freekick which was hit by Jakub Jindra. 45 minutes into the match, KKS Lech Poznań's Damian Jaraczeski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milan Krása narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
