Cristi Miheș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Stere in the 5th minute of play. Marian Văduvescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Róbert Benkó went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Róbert Benkó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Văduvescu having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, Armada's Róbert Benkó sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Stere in the 21st minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Cristi Miheș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Văduvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Benkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Cristi Miheș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Dunajski in the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu got control of the ball when Róbert Benkó tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Deșliu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Benkó in the 38th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbert Benkó. Róbert Benkó took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Văduvescu. Marian Văduvescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zygmunt Dunajski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristi Miheș was a little too slow when Zygmunt Dunajski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-1. Róbert Benkó struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Marian Văduvescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armada. Marian Văduvescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Benkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armada made a substitution. Edgar Șeicaru replaced Elder Godoi. In the 69th minute Armada were awarded a corner. He Wei Feng went to the cornerflag to take it. He Wei Feng made a great header on Armada's corner, it was just that FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Zygmunt Dunajski struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cristi Miheș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Steaua Pildesti. The throw-in from Constantin Deșliu in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Armada's Cristian Anastasiu. Filomeno Igon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Văduvescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Barbu in the 80th minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Cristi Miheș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Stere in the 81st minute of play forced Armada's goalkeeper Cristi Miheș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Armada's Filomeno Igon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marian Văduvescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filomeno Igon's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute, Filomeno Igon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Armada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. FC Steaua Pildesti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
