In the 10th minute, Roberto-Carlos da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Fința hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Jörgen Levander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The corner led FC Kurdistan's Roberto-Carlos da Silva to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Văduvescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marian Văduvescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Sundström's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Marian Văduvescu went to the wrong direction when Fredric Hybbert was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some careless play in the FC Steaua Pildesti defense, Lars Sundström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Văduvescu. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Văduvescu should have stopped the shot.
