Thodoris Sotiriou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Thake in the 5th minute of play. FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 6th minute of play. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floriana Celtics's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nikolaj Abesadze was slow to take the kick. During this time FC TSKALSADENI's players had a chance to rest. Richard Lentini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anatoly Chebaevskiy in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Nikolaj Abesadze almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 12th minute of play forced FC TSKALSADENI's goalkeeper Thodoris Sotiriou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anatoly Chebaevskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC TSKALSADENI's Pål Carlberg got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Floriana Celtics defense, Anatoly Chebaevskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Lentini. The Floriana Celtics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Lentini should have stopped the shot. After 25 minutes of play, Floriana Celtics's Kyle Thake made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thodoris Sotiriou was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 29th minute of play. Olgierd Dawiec took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thodoris Sotiriou. Thodoris Sotiriou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 35th minute, Anatoly Chebaevskiy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC TSKALSADENI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Olgierd Dawiec notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou. Thodoris Sotiriou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Floriana Celtics were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anatoly Chebaevskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Floriana Celtics's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matt Sciortino in the 52nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Olgierd Dawiec got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thodoris Sotiriou quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as Kyle Thake kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thodoris Sotiriou. That made the score 2-4 in the 56 minute of play. Thodoris Sotiriou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Dawiec in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, FC TSKALSADENI's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgio Caruana came free, but Thodoris Sotiriou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olgierd Dawiec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Thodoris Sotiriou made a huge save. In the 65th minute, Kyle Thake reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thodoris Sotiriou. The goal made the score 2-5. FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC TSKALSADENI from getting a goal against them. FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 68th minute of play. If Anatoly Chebaevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. Floriana Celtics's Robby Baggio was substituted for Olgierd Dawiec. 76 minutes into the match, FC TSKALSADENI's goalkeeper Thodoris Sotiriou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robby Baggio. 77 minutes into the match, Alex Testaferrata Viani notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of FC TSKALSADENI's Thodoris Sotiriou. Thodoris Sotiriou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudio Bailey struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Thodoris Sotiriou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floriana Celtics. A collision led to FC TSKALSADENI getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Petros Tzouroudis hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoly Chebaevskiy came free, but Richard Lentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, FC TSKALSADENI's goalkeeper Thodoris Sotiriou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robby Baggio. Anatoly Chebaevskiy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Lentini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Robby Baggio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thodoris Sotiriou. FC TSKALSADENI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robby Baggio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. The FC TSKALSADENI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Floriana Celtics were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
