Maximino Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Innocenzio in the 13th minute of the match. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after TIBURON F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Colas Valdueza took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Albino Baladi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 17 minutes into the match, Paco Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno. Benedicto Ireno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rd minute Colas Valdueza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half TIBURON F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
