An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 9th minute of play forced Jurupeba FC's goalkeeper Fabrício Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Thake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's Olgierd Dawiec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrício Falcão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Giorgio Caruana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Falcão having to interfere. Evlogi Dzhumayski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Richard Lentini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Breckenfeld in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jurupeba FC's goalkeeper Fabrício Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Beto Breckenfeld could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Richard Lentini however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evlogi Dzhumayski got free with Richard Lentini in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beto Breckenfeld to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Floriana Celtics defense, Martin Minchev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Lentini. The Floriana Celtics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Lentini should have stopped the shot. Kyle Thake recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richard Lentini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Olgierd Dawiec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrício Falcão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jurupeba FC's Neymar Junior was substituted for Evlogi Dzhumayski. Jean Carl Testaferrata Moroni Viani kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Richard Lentini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorkil Husig, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Breckenfeld in the 66th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Floriana Celtics's Jean Carl Testaferrata Moroni Viani got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Alex Testaferrata Viani fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floriana Celtics's protests and gave Alex Testaferrata Viani a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Testaferrata Viani kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jurupeba FC's Juarês Guerra was substituted for Yahya Al Bahar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 94th minute of play forced Jurupeba FC's goalkeeper Fabrício Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Thake struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Fabrício Falcão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floriana Celtics.
