Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Innocenzio in the 6th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Maradona came free, but Benedicto Ireno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 10th minute of the match. Alejandro Rufo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colas Valdueza in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. Pablo Innocenzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Óscar Cordoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atilano Feo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Colas Valdueza got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedicto Ireno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Maradona's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Diego Maradona hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Colas Valdueza managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's supporters rose to their feet, but Colas Valdueza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yin Wei Yi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Óscar Cordoba made a huge save. Benedicto Ireno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Bilintx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saturnino Curcio was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting de Gijón's players had a chance to rest. In the 46th minute, Pablo Innocenzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Sporting de Gijón's Wayne Rooney was substituted for Alejandro Rufo. In the 60th minute Yin Wei Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno got control of the ball when Matias Bilintx tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Benedicto Ireno managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benedicto Ireno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Bilintx in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Bilintx in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Ireno saved C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Basilio Calvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rune Fanström hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
