In the 2nd minute, Mateusz Pleban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 3 minutes, Lambis Kazantzakoglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GREEK ARMY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lambis Kazantzakoglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Styrbjörn Stokken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pocho Lavezzi's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. David Soter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambis Kazantzakoglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, GUTIERREZ SC's David Soter got control of the ball when Jardel Sergipano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute, Denis Maju ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Styrbjörn Stokken was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 28th minute GREEK ARMY were awarded a corner. Jardel Sergipano went to the cornerflag to take it. After 32 played minutes, GUTIERREZ SC's Juan Peron shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Styrbjörn Stokken came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GUTIERREZ SC reached it. Styrbjörn Stokken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Falconetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GREEK ARMY's Styrbjörn Stokken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pocho Lavezzi in the 35th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, GREEK ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Pocho Lavezzi came free, but Styrbjörn Stokken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, GREEK ARMY's Hüsnü Tuyan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hüsnü Tuyan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GREEK ARMY protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hüsnü Tuyan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 43rd match minute, GREEK ARMY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hüsnü Tuyan to maneuver through the defense. Pocho Lavezzi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Styrbjörn Stokken. GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The GREEK ARMY players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pocho Lavezzi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Maju in the 55th minute of play forced GREEK ARMY's goalkeeper Styrbjörn Stokken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Soter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigoris Karagiotakis in the 56th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, GUTIERREZ SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Sergipano came free, but David Soter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Pedrinho Falconetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Styrbjörn Stokken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
