In the 18th minute Javier Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavcho Kanov made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Arrigo Marrone sent off a good shot on target. Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Klawki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rdth minute of the game Javier Turi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute Javier Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Lia Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavcho Kanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Flocco in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Fabrizio Canzano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavcho Kanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lia Marquez in the 33rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Slavcho Kanov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arrigo Marrone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Slavcho Kanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Amos Ruggeri. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Turi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 60th minute Fabrizio Canzano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Arrigo Marrone made a precise shot to the right of Slavcho Kanov. Legia Stavanger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrizio Canzano in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Slavcho Kanov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Slavcho Kanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Bergman in the 88th minute of play forced Legia Stavanger's goalkeeper Slavcho Kanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natã de Salles took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Slavcho Kanov. Slavcho Kanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Gjermund Viste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
