Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Eulalio Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 9th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Eulalio Urbasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ivan Vâtcă in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Stiinta-Univ.'s Tomasz Gacek. In the 18th minute, Stiinta-Univ.'s Shi Ming Sheng dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eulalio Urbasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 29th minute of the match. Shi Ming Sheng struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Calistrat Madgearu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stiinta-Univ.. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Radu Sărăroiu hit a great ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Viteazul Flore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Viteazul Flore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Ivar Lindqvist replaced Muhammet Altın. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiberiu Caramarin made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tiberiu Caramarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eulalio Urbasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 57th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Eulalio Urbasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MIT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romeo Gherghescu in the 58th minute. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Lindqvist in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Caramarin to maneuver through the defense. Calistrat Madgearu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivar Lindqvist went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. MIT's David Tunander was substituted for Dorin Banu. Eulalio Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The Stiinta-Univ. fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Stiinta-Univ.'s Ivar Lindqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 98th minute of the match, Tiberiu Caramarin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eulalio Urbasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stiinta-Univ. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MIT for a fine match.
