After a rather tough play, Piratas FC's David Aimar got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Victorino Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 3rd minute of play. Kevin Keegan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Gaufred read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 15th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Kurt Hamrin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Gaufred was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Victorino Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Georg Norström got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Celedonio Argina got free in front of the goal in the 24th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Olov Wahlnäs was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alvaro Martxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 28th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Kurt Hamrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kevin Keegan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Gaufred was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Victorino Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Hamrin in the 39th minute of the match. Filip Brolin's late challenge caught a Piratas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Brolin helped the player get up and apologised. Filip Brolin kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, David Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Keegan in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute Angel Isusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Wahlnäs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Victorino Gaufred had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 55 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Victorino Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Georg Norström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Victorino Gaufred was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams was substituted for Chen Ao Fan. David Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olov Wahlnäs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. Piratas FC's Angel Isusko got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piratas FC's Victorino Gaufred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 81st minute of play. Piratas FC's Victorino Gaufred proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Piratas FC from getting a goal against them. Jerry Williams fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Gaufred having to interfere. In the 86th minute, David Aimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Kurt Hamrin made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Gaufred. Piratas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When Florentino Sendoa fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piratas FC's protests and gave Florentino Sendoa a yellow card for diving instead. Florentino Sendoa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Kevin Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Keegan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When the final whistle sounded Skövde AIK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Piratas FC.
