Régis Leite made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Kevin Keegan sent off a good shot on target. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hu Yao Nan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Olov Wahlnäs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taci Özerman's late challenge caught a Skövde AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taci Özerman helped the player get up and apologised. The corner led to Toni Kroos MGZ™'s Taci Özerman getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Olov Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hu Yao Nan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 26th minute of play forced Toni Kroos MGZ™'s goalkeeper Régis Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hu Yao Nan in the 28th minute of play. Toni Kroos MGZ™'s Régis Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 30th minute of play. After 35 minutes Toni Kroos MGZ™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Keegan who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Kevin Keegan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Régis Leite quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 44 played minutes Toni Kroos MGZ™ got a freekick which was hit by Felice Garibaldi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chen Ao Fan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Toni Kroos MGZ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Régis Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Régis Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chen Ao Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Osmar de Souza in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Skövde AIK's Hjalmar Hägert. A hard shot by Jiang Mo Qi from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Olov Wahlnäs's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The crowd rose to their feet as Hu Yao Nan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olov Wahlnäs. That made the score 1-1 in the 61 minute of play. After 64 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Hägert. Hu Yao Nan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Olov Wahlnäs skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hu Yao Nan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Olov Wahlnäs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 70th minute of play forced Toni Kroos MGZ™'s goalkeeper Régis Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Wahlnäs made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Hu Yao Nan sent off a good shot on target. Chen Ao Fan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Leite having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Toni Kroos MGZ™ got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Mo Qi. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Toni Kroos MGZ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jiang Mo Qi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olov Wahlnäs was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Hu Yao Nan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hu Yao Nan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 88 minutes into the game, Hu Yao Nan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olov Wahlnäs. Hu Yao Nan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The Toni Kroos MGZ™ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Toni Kroos MGZ™ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
