Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agostinho Guedes to make the kick off. When Giuseppe Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 卡納里尼奧 FC's protests and gave Giuseppe Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Giuseppe Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 53 played minutes, Sporting Buceo's Mano Ramos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Marinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Buceo reached it. Gaspar Verastegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Vides in the 56th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Laerte Marquez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gaspar Verastegui. That made the score 0-4 in the 57 minute of play. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Gildo de Souza got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of 卡納里尼奧 FC booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Verastegui was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agostinho Guedes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 86 minute of play.
