The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silvestre Firmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Hayer having to interfere. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Niederehe FC's goalkeeper Erwin Hayer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lázaro Dorio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Ty Burschick struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Nestor Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niederehe FC. Fynn Eschlimann kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omar Ospin in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Hayer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nestor Selatse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dietbald Nissler in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Cuesta AFC's goalkeeper Nestor Selatse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dietbald Nissler. Nestor Selatse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ty Burschick's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The supporters of Cuesta AFC booed when Niederehe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zwi Gutsche didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Ospin in the 35th minute of play forced Niederehe FC's goalkeeper Erwin Hayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Niederehe FC got a freekick which was hit by Fynn Eschlimann. Dietbald Nisslers short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Nestor Selatse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Niederehe FC's Erwin Hayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Ospin in the 46th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Omar Ospin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erwin Hayer was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

55 minutes into the game, Uwe Pohl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niederehe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuesta AFC the free kick. In the 58th minute, Dietbald Nissler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niederehe FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 60th minute Özcan Duttlinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cuesta AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Silvestre Firmin hit a great ball. Uwe Pohl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özcan Duttlinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Dietbald Nissler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Nestor Selatse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uwe Pohl hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Silvestre Firmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Ospin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Erwin Hayer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Omar Ospins short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Erwin Hayer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dietbald Nissler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Selatse having to interfere. A collision led to Niederehe FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ty Burschick hit a great ball. Iso Beilmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nestor Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Niederehe FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cuesta AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
