Tryggvi Loðmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Kochowski came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Vernd Grindavík's Dalvin Ingjaldsson. But to his dismay, Dalvin Ingjaldsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jerzy Kochowski could save by the left post. Össur Aðalmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Naumowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Strzygi SA's goalkeeper Jerzy Kochowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson. In the 30th minute Dalvin Ingjaldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Kochowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Naumowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerzy Kochowski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 43rd minute Tadeusz Dziurowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Össur Aðalmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksander Walentowicz in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Össur Aðalmundsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Naumowicz made a kick off. Jerzy Kochowski came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vernd Grindavík's Tryggvi Loðmundsson. But to his dismay, Tryggvi Loðmundsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Tumi Arnaldsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Vernd Grindavík from getting a goal against them. Dalvin Ingjaldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Strzygi SA's goal looked a bit too open when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson came free, but Jerzy Kochowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Aleksander Walentowicz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Össur Aðalmundsson, 3-2. 66 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Dziurowicz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Össur Aðalmundsson. Tadeusz Dziurowicz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. When Dalvin Ingjaldsson came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vernd Grindavík fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalvin Ingjaldsson couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Leszek Janiczek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jerzy Kochowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vernd Grindavík. Tadeusz Dziurowicz's late challenge caught a Vernd Grindavík's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalvin Ingjaldsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerzy Kochowski. Strzygi SA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mikjáll Geislason hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Strzygi SA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
