The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Lechuga salvaje's zone, Thomas McFrancise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Montrel Figueres came out of the goal and Thomas McFrancise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes Lechuga salvaje got a freekick which was hit by Juan Morera. After 9 minutes, Joseph Quinnless mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilnacrew FC and the Lechuga salvaje players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lechuga salvaje booed when Kilnacrew FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Quinnless didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Morera hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 15 minutes Lechuga salvaje's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Trien Sheridan who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Lechuga salvaje booed when Kilnacrew FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brogan McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Kilnacrew FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Caffey to maneuver through the defense. Donn Todd came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Lechuga salvaje's Ernesto Salazar. But to his dismay, Ernesto Salazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Llin Casanova kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Thomas McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montrel Figueres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Quinnless in the 37th minute. When Kilnacrew FC's Thomas McFrancise in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lechuga salvaje's goalie prevented a goal. Kilnacrew FC's Donn Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falo Camara in the 40th minute of play. Joseph Quinnless's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Montrel Figueres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 47th minute Thomas McFrancise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montrel Figueres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ernesto Salazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Donn Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donn Todd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Salazar in the 56th minute. Montrel Figueres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montrel Figueres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Quinnless in the 61st minute of play. Ernesto Salazar struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Donn Todd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lechuga salvaje. Falo Camara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donn Todd having to make a save. After 89 minutes Kilnacrew FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Llin Casanova who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Lechuga salvaje's Llin Casanova to fire away a dangerous shot which Donn Todd despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Kilnacrew FC booed when Lechuga salvaje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Morera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lechuga salvaje's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
