Everett Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Dozier in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the game, Milltown's Jon Dozier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everett Orr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jon Dozier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milltown's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Dozier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everett Orr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 10 played minutes Milltown got a freekick which was hit by Williams Dempsey. In the 12th minute, one of Horrocks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Horrocks. The referee gave Milltown a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Antonio Pinette, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Horrocks's Everett Orr. 0-2. Archie Oneill struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Christopher Stapleton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horrocks. Williams Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Everett Orr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Buchanan Pearce got free with Christopher Stapleton in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Horrocks booed when Milltown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Dozier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everett Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Williams Dempsey in the 24th minute of play. Christopher Stapleton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Buchanan Pearce went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 37thth minute of the game Jon Dozier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horrocks's Everett Orr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Russell Pinhey hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Milltown's zone, Buchanan Pearce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Stapleton came out of the goal and Buchanan Pearce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes Milltown got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Pinette. Christopher Stapleton was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Angus Stockwin. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes Horrocks got a freekick which was hit by Ollie Odonahoo. Horrocks's Everett Orr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Horrocks from getting a goal against them. Jon Dozier in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After 88 minutes, Russell Pinhey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horrocks and the Milltown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute of the match Antonio Pinette shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Everett Orr showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Horrocks getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Angus Stockwin hit a great ball. Williams Dempsey struck a weak shot in the 96th minute.
