Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Norbert Pennequin started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Horrocks's zone, Salim Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everett Orr came out of the goal and Salim Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-1 became the score in the 4th minute when Norbert Pennequin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Everett Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Pennequin in the 9th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Peltre got a freekick which was hit by Ange Pissot. A hard shot 14 in the game by Buchanan Pearce from a close distance when the talented Pacôme Marmin managed to make a qualified save. Peltre's players were relieved. Everett Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salim Rios in the 16th minute of play. If Randolph Cusbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Peltre's goalkeeper Pacôme Marmin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Buchanan Pearce. Randolph Cusbert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pacôme Marmin having to make a save. 35 minutes into the game, Iggi Shorten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horrocks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peltre the free kick. The supporters of Peltre booed when Horrocks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iggi Shorten didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Horrocks's Archie Oneill got a free kick in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Horrocks's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Pennequin came free, but Everett Orr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Randolph Cusbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Buchanan Pearce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Horrocks's Randolph Cusbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pacôme Marmin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Peltre getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Yohann Leblond hit a great ball. Norbert Pennequin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Everett Orr having to make a save. After having played for 65 minutes, Salim Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peltre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salim Rios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Buchanan Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacôme Marmin having to interfere. The supporters of Peltre booed when Horrocks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Oneill didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes, Peltre's Yohann Leblond shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Everett Orr came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peltre reached it. Pacôme Marmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randolph Cusbert in the 87th minute of play. Buchanan Pearce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horrocks's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
