The Hillside fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flannery McLiam should have stopped the shot. After 7 played minutes Hillside got a freekick which was hit by Teigue Gallagher. In the 12th minute, José Carlos Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, José Carlos Paulista took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Flannery McLiam to make any attempt to save it. In the 25th match minute, Hillside was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bresal McPhil to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Hillside's zone, Guilherme Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flannery McLiam came out of the goal and Guilherme Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Teigue Gallagher sped through Marolla FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernandinho Marquez. Guilherme Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Flannery McLiam made a huge save. Barclay Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Torran McLian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilherme Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barclay Duggan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernandinho Marquez having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Carlos Paulista was the one to do the kick off. Marolla FC's Fernandinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barclay Duggan in the 63rd minute of play. Barclay Duggan struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Fernandinho Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hillside. After 79 minutes, José Paulo Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marolla FC and the Hillside players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Marolla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Matos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Durvalino Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marolla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durvalino Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee showed Barclay Duggan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Marolla FC booed when Hillside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barclay Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marolla FC's José Carlos Paulista in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hillside's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Guilherme Sena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flannery McLiam. Hillside's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Sena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Marolla FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
