An unexpectedly hard shot by Williams Dempsey in the 6th minute of play forced Kilnacrew FC's goalkeeper Donn Todd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Christopher Stapleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Milltown's zone, Thomas McFrancise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Stapleton came out of the goal and Thomas McFrancise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 22 minutes into the game, Zachery Hutchison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milltown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilnacrew FC the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Zachery Hutchison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes, Joseph Quinnless made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Milltown's Christopher Stapleton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jon Dozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Thomas McFrancise rounded Milltown's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Brady Caffey hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Jon Dozier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donn Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Williams Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donn Todd having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas McFrancise stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Toby Couturier fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Milltown's Christopher Stapleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas McFrancise in the 68th minute of play. Milltown's Antonio Pinette got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
