With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norbert Pennequin in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Selatse saved Cuesta AFC from getting behind. 13 minutes into the game, Cayetano Ishmael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuesta AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peltre the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cuesta AFC's Cayetano Ishmael got a free kick in the 14th minute. Norbert Pennequin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nestor Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Joachim Vigoureux in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cuesta AFC's Bartolo Quilino. In the 19th minute, Omar Ospin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuesta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Salim Rios came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nestor Selatse could save by the left post. Norbert Pennequin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peltre's Norbert Pennequin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salim Rios came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nestor Selatse could save by the left post. Nestor Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Pennequin in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cirilo Otsando during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cirilo Otsando hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cuesta AFC's zone, Ange Pissot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Selatse came out of the goal and Ange Pissot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Cuesta AFC's goalkeeper Nestor Selatse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salim Rios. After the first half Cuesta AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After 51 minutes, Lázaro Dorio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuesta AFC and the Peltre players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lázaro Dorio hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Norbert Pennequin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 54 played minutes Peltre got a freekick which was hit by Léo Dejean. Norbert Pennequin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peltre's Pacôme Marmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Peltre from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Pennequin in the 60th minute of play forced Cuesta AFC's goalkeeper Nestor Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cuesta AFC defense, Norbert Pennequin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Selatse. The Cuesta AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Selatse should have stopped the shot. If Norbert Pennequin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Pennequin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Nestor Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Pennequin in the 70th minute of the match. When Cuesta AFC's Omar Ospin in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peltre's goalie prevented a goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cuesta AFC's Silvestre Firmin in the 72nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Pacôme Marmin was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Peltre through an amazing save. 81 minutes into the game, Peltre's Salim Rios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Selatse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Salim Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cuesta AFC's Omar Ospin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
