With his leg Erwin Hayer managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Vernd Grindavík's Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Össur Aðalmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dietbald Nissler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Vernd Grindavík booed when Niederehe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özcan Duttlinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dalvin Ingjaldsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Erwin Hayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Össur Aðalmundsson came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Niederehe FC's Fynn Eschlimann. But to his dismay, Fynn Eschlimann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 57th minute, Özcan Duttlinger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niederehe FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Fynn Eschlimann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Össur Aðalmundsson made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Özcan Duttlinger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Össur Aðalmundsson. That made the score 0-5 in the 66 minute of play. Berg Finnbjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Össur Aðalmundsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dietbald Nissler in the 75th minute. In the 82nd minute, Özcan Duttlinger made a precise shot to the right of Össur Aðalmundsson. Vernd Grindavík's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. After 88 minutes of play, Vernd Grindavík's Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erwin Hayer was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Vernd Grindavík's goalkeeper Össur Aðalmundsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fynn Eschlimann. The supporters of Niederehe FC booed when Vernd Grindavík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teitur Ásþórsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Niederehe FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Uwe Pohl hit a great ball. Niederehe FC played a much better game than Vernd Grindavík and deserved their victory. The Vernd Grindavík players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
