Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, Barclay Duggan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Nestor Selatse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Omar Ospin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flannery McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Flann Deans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artemio Maju did an outstanding performance 22 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Flannery McLiam in the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barclay Duggan in the 26th minute of play forced Cuesta AFC's goalkeeper Nestor Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Barclay Duggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Firmin's late challenge caught a Hillside's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Firmin helped the player get up and apologised. Silvestre Firmin kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Barclay Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Torran McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barclay Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torran McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cuesta AFC's zone, Barclay Duggan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Selatse came out of the goal and Barclay Duggan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Ospin in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flannery McLiam saved Hillside from getting behind. Nestor Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barclay Duggan in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barclay Duggan to strike the kick off in the second half. Nestor Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barclay Duggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Torran McLian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Hillside's Bray Ramsey got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Lázaro Dorio's late challenge caught a Hillside's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. It was beautiful to see Hillside's Beehan Caffey in action when he in the 72nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Silvestre Firmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flannery McLiam having to interfere. Omar Ospin in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flannery McLiam, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Hillside's Flannery McLiam got control of the ball when Omar Ospin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barhan Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cuesta AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hillside.
