The supporters of Marolla FC booed when Kilnacrew FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, José Carlos Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donn Todd was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thomas McFrancise scored 1-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernandinho Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Marolla FC's José Carlos Paulista got a free kick in the 12th minute. Guilherme Sena took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donn Todd. Donn Todd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jack Ryan's late challenge caught a Marolla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack Ryan helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Marolla FC's Durvalino Queiroz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Donn Todd. 24 minutes into the match, Thomas McFrancise notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Marolla FC's Fernandinho Marquez. Fernandinho Marquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thomas McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fernandinho Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Kilnacrew FC got a freekick which was hit by Todd Sheridan. Donn Todd made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Guilherme Sena sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, José Carlos Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donn Todd having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When José Paulo Matos fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marolla FC's protests and gave José Paulo Matos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marolla FC's José Paulo Matos got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Fernandinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas McFrancise in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joseph Quinnless got free with Fernandinho Marquez in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the game, Raphael Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marolla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilnacrew FC the free kick. A collision led to Marolla FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Raphael Nascimento hit a great ball. Marolla FC's José Paulo Matos got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered José Paulo Matos off the ground. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
