The tension between the Marolla FC and the Lechuga salvaje players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 2 played minutes Marolla FC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Matos. Ernesto Salazar scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernandinho Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Falo Camara might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernandinho Marquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falo Camara ran back to his position shaking his head. Falo Camara took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernandinho Marquez. Fernandinho Marquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 14 minutes into the game, João Carlos Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marolla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lechuga salvaje the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Marolla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Salazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Marquez having to interfere. Fernandinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Salazar in the 17th minute of the match. Marcelo Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When José Carlos Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Marolla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Paulista couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Ernesto Salazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lechuga salvaje fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 35th minute, Falo Camara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marolla FC's Fernandinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Salazar in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, José Carlos Paulista fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Marolla FC's Gildo Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guilherme Sena got free with Montrel Figueres in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Carlos Paulista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute José Carlos Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montrel Figueres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montrel Figueres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montrel Figueres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ernesto Salazar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Fernandinho Marquez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 63rd minute, Guilherme Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montrel Figueres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Lechuga salvaje's Iyan santillana got a free kick in the 67th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Falo Camara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernandinho Marquez. That made the score 0-5 in the 69 minute of play. Montrel Figueres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falo Camara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guilherme Sena took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Montrel Figueres. Montrel Figueres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. If Ernesto Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, one of Marolla FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Marolla FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Lechuga salvaje's Falo Camara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernandinho Marquez. That made the score 1-7 after 85 minutes of play. In the 88th minute, Gildo Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falo Camara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, José Paulo Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Montrel Figueres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. The Marolla FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lechuga salvaje's performance. The match ended with a win for Lechuga salvaje.
