If Joseph Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donn Todd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Ospin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Lázaro Dorio fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuesta AFC's protests and gave Lázaro Dorio a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Cuesta AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kilnacrew FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Nestor Selatse, was totally fooled by Kilnacrew FC's Trien Sheridan, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 33 minutes into the match, Kilnacrew FC's Thomas McFrancise sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Selatse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Thomas McFrancise who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuesta AFC's Nestor Selatse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Thomas McFrancise fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nestor Selatse, passed just outside the right post. Thomas McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Selatse having to interfere.

Cuesta AFC's Omar Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuesta AFC's goalkeeper Nestor Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Kilnacrew FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silvestre Firmin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 66th minute, Jack Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas McFrancise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joseph Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thomas McFrancise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Thomas McFrancise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nestor Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Joseph Quinnless shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Joseph Quinnless had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Selatse. Cuesta AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joseph Quinnless was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas McFrancise in the 82nd minute of play forced Cuesta AFC's goalkeeper Nestor Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Joseph Quinnless left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilnacrew FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Nestor Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas McFrancise in the 86th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Joseph Quinnless got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cuesta AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kilnacrew FC.
