Flannery McLiam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Paulista in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute José Carlos Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flannery McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilherme Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barclay Duggan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Marquez having to interfere. The supporters of Hillside booed when Marolla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torran McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fernandinho Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torran McLian scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernandinho Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bresal McPhil's late challenge caught a Marolla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bresal McPhil helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Marolla FC booed when Hillside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bresal McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teigue Gallagher kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Flannery McLiam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Sena in the 29th minute of play. Flannery McLiam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Paulista's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Guilherme Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Flannery McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flannery McLiam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marolla FC. 47 minutes into the match, Marolla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barclay Duggan came free, but Fernandinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When Luiz Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Marolla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulista couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Marolla FC's José Paulo Matos got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 57 played minutes Marolla FC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Matos. After recieving a nice pass, Hillside's Bray Ramsey tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Marolla FC's José Carlos Paulista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flannery McLiam. Flannery McLiam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to Hillside getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Blavock Molloy hit a great ball. Fernandinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torran McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Guilherme Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flannery McLiam having to interfere. José Carlos Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Flannery McLiam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Hillside's Torran McLian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernandinho Marquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute of the match Durvalino Queiroz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flannery McLiam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If José Carlos Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Guilherme Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Marolla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barclay Duggan came free, but Fernandinho Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Carlos Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Carlos Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Marolla FC got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Andrade. The Hillside supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marolla FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Marolla FC.
