The referee ignored Marolla FC's protests and gave Durvalino Queiroz a yellow card for diving instead. Durvalino Queiroz hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Amar Malek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fernandinho Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandinho Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amar Malek, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Fodil Boulahfane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Sena in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Marolla FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jerônimo Neiva hit a great ball. Raphael Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Avish FC booed when Marolla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Amar Malek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Marolla FC's goalkeeper Fernandinho Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yacine Malek. 53 minutes into the match, Avish FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Barbosa came free, but Fodil Boulahfane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yacine Bentifour came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Avish FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yacine Bentifour couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Paulo Matos during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Avish FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yacine Bentifour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandinho Marquez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Yacine Bentifour ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernandinho Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Amar Malek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Marquez having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Yazid Zafour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
