Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flannery McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Tryggvi Loðmundsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The tension between the Vernd Grindavík and the Hillside players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vernd Grindavík getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tryggvi Loðmundsson hit a great ball. Hillside's Bray Ramsey got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Beehan Caffey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Össur Aðalmundsson, 1-0. Barclay Duggan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Össur Aðalmundsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Barclay Duggan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Össur Aðalmundsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barclay Duggan in the 25th minute of play. Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beehan Caffey in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Hillside's goal looked a bit too open when Dalvin Ingjaldsson came free, but Flannery McLiam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Beehan Caffey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barclay Duggan in the 33rd minute of play. Barclay Duggan's late challenge caught a Vernd Grindavík's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barclay Duggan helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalvin Ingjaldsson in the 37th minute of play forced Hillside's goalkeeper Flannery McLiam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Barclay Duggan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teigue Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Barclay Duggan made the kick off in the second half. Össur Aðalmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barclay Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flannery McLiam made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the game, Torran McLian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Össur Aðalmundsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beairtle Holt charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beairtle Holt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vernd Grindavík booed when Hillside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beairtle Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barclay Duggan in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, Hillside's Teigue Gallagher made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Össur Aðalmundsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 76thth minute of the game Beehan Caffey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 78 in the game by Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson from a close distance when the talented Flannery McLiam managed to make a qualified save. Hillside's players were relieved. In the 83rd minute Teigue Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Össur Aðalmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85th play minutes Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson shot 5-2, a short shot which went by Flannery McLiam and just under the crossbar into goal. Össur Aðalmundsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barclay Duggan's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Vernd Grindavík's Tryggvi Loðmundsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Tryggvi Loðmundsson off the ground. After 89 played minutes Vernd Grindavík got a freekick which was hit by Tryggvi Loðmundsson. 92 minutes into the match, Vernd Grindavík's goal looked a bit too open when Beehan Caffey came free, but Össur Aðalmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Flannery McLiam made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Hillside players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
