He walked away shaking his head. Buchanan Pearce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ty Burschick was the one to do the kick off. Conrad Themann hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Buchanan Pearce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dietbald Nissler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horrocks's Everett Orr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dietbald Nissler in the 80th minute of play. Everett Orr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horrocks's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
