Ardán Dalton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagbjartur Loðmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Vernd Grindavík's goal looked a bit too open when Gerald McTom came free, but Össur Aðalmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Össur Aðalmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerald McTom in the 24th minute of the match. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ardán Dalton. Ardán Dalton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Vernd Grindavík's Tryggvi Loðmundsson got a free kick in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Trevor McAlphie during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Trevor McAlphie hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Össur Aðalmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor McAlphie, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute Dagbjartur Loðmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardán Dalton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Rahan's Gerald McTom made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Össur Aðalmundsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vernd Grindavík's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dalvin Ingjaldsson in the 39th minute. After taking down the ball on Vernd Grindavík's corner Dalvin Ingjaldsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ardán Dalton quite easily take care of the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Vernd Grindavík's Tryggvi Loðmundsson made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ardán Dalton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ardán Dalton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagbjartur Loðmundsson in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trevor McAlphie to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Gerald McTom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Össur Aðalmundsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th match minute, Vernd Grindavík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teitur Ásþórsson to maneuver through the defense. Trevor McAlphie hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Rahan's goalkeeper Ardán Dalton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dagbjartur Loðmundsson. Ardán Dalton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagbjartur Loðmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Össur Aðalmundsson came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rahan's Casey Myler. But to his dismay, Casey Myler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. After 70 minutes, Breanainn Rutherford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rahan and the Vernd Grindavík players grew even worse after the yellow card. Breanainn Rutherford hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Dagbjartur Loðmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardán Dalton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson got free with Ardán Dalton in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gerald McTom came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Rahan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerald McTom couldn't finish the play. Ardán Dalton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagbjartur Loðmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Vernd Grindavík's Tryggvi Loðmundsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ardán Dalton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. When Séamus McNamee came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Rahan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Séamus McNamee couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute Casey Myler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Össur Aðalmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ardán Dalton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, Vernd Grindavík's Tumi Arnaldsson got a free kick in the 95th minute.
