In the 35th minute Silvestre Firmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pacôme Marmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peltre's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Pennequin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Selatse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Pacôme Marmin managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Cuesta AFC's Omar Ospin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Charles-Emmanuel Cholet was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Peltre:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cuesta AFC:s goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omar Ospin was the one to do the kick off. Salim Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Selatse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Achille Conchon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Selatse having to interfere. Cuesta AFC's Nestor Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Cuesta AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Ospin in the 62nd minute of play forced Peltre's goalkeeper Pacôme Marmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Pennequin's late challenge caught a Cuesta AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norbert Pennequin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Achille Conchon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salim Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Selatse having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salim Rios got free with Nestor Selatse in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ange Pissot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Salim Rios notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Cuesta AFC's Nestor Selatse. Nestor Selatse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Omar Ospin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 102nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cuesta AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peltre's performance. The match ended with a win for Peltre.
