Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ty Burschick kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Dalvin Ingjaldsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vernd Grindavík fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Erwin Hayer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Burschick in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Vernd Grindavík booed when Niederehe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fynn Eschlimann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vernd Grindavík's supporters rose to their feet, but Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Hayer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Dietbald Nissler notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson. Össur Aðalmundsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 24 played minutes Vernd Grindavík got a freekick which was hit by Tumi Arnaldsson. Erwin Hayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalvin Ingjaldsson in the 26th minute of the match. Össur Aðalmundsson was a little too slow when Dietbald Nissler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-2. 33 minutes into the match, Vernd Grindavík's Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erwin Hayer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Össur Aðalmundsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dietbald Nissler in the 43rd minute. Ty Burschick hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özcan Duttlinger in the 56th minute of play forced Vernd Grindavík's goalkeeper Össur Aðalmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikjáll Geislason's late challenge caught a Niederehe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikjáll Geislason helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Niederehe FC booed when Vernd Grindavík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikjáll Geislason didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson got free with Erwin Hayer in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vernd Grindavík's Össur Aðalmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Burschick in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Niederehe FC's Dietbald Nissler made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Össur Aðalmundsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, Ty Burschick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Össur Aðalmundsson. Vernd Grindavík's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ty Burschick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. 73 minutes into the match, Vernd Grindavík's goal looked a bit too open when Dietbald Nissler came free, but Össur Aðalmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Dietbald Nissler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Össur Aðalmundsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Hayer having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match, Bjarnleifur Hallbjörnsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Erwin Hayer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Össur Aðalmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özcan Duttlinger, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ty Burschick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Össur Aðalmundsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Niederehe FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
