An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Vergílio in the 3rd minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Walme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hulk Speed in the 6th minute of the match. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lei Feng Yan in the 7th minute of play. When S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Breno Vergílio in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aurelio Walme made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Ksawery Winnicki sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Walme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hulk Speed's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Marcelinho Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 31st minute of play. Marcelinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lei Feng Yan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Faustão Châton hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Geovani Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo Trevisan came free, but Aurelio Walme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lei Feng Yan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Marcelinho Barral made a huge save. 72 minutes into the game, Breno Vergílio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelinho Barral. Breno Vergílio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Roceira SC's Válter Fontes was substituted for Ksawery Winnicki. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Breno Vergílio took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Marcelinho Barral to make any attempt to save it. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Roceira SC from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute of the match, Breno Vergílio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelinho Barral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 88 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Breno Vergílio. Aurelio Walme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Fontes in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. The Roceira SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's performance. The match ended with a win for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul.
