But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Witomir Pisarczyk couldn't finish the play. Arsenal F.C.'s Leonardo Da Vinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 24th minute of play. Gerardo Lordi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Afanasiy Shefner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pontus Nordström, 2-1. Pontus Nordström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gică Busuioc in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström got control of the ball when Gică Busuioc tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Witomir Pisarczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Da Vinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Witomir Pisarczyk made the kick off in the second half. Witomir Pisarczyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Arsenal F.C.'s Afanasiy Shefner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pontus Nordström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi was substituted for Witomir Pisarczyk. In the 65th minute, Nigel Ingham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Afanasiy Shefner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Arsenal F.C.'s Afanasiy Shefner made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pontus Nordström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mauro Icardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Icardi got free with Leonardo Da Vinci in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Anton Kirilchenko notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Santa Margarita's Pontus Nordström. Pontus Nordström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 95 minutes, David Celio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Margarita's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Celio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arsenal F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
