In the 12th minute Cheng Zhan Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes C.U.E. DE COMERCIO got a freekick which was hit by Seb Gentiletti. 16 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Cheng Zhan Sheng came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With neither of the teams able to find a winning goal, the match would be decided by penalties!

The score was 1-2 after a penalty in the 134th minute, where C.U.E. DE COMERCIO:s Seb Gentiletti tricked Estudiantes de América:s Marcos Ranolfo with a difficult ball by the left post. A hard and well directed shot from Sebastião Gentiletti led 136 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-3. The goalkeeper, Mustafa Arif Korcan, was totally fooled by Estudiantes de América's Orlando Beltza, who 138 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 139th minute there was a penalty for C.U.E. DE COMERCIO. Teodoro Nikola stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Ranolfo. 2-4. After 142 played minutes Magne Söderberg shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo to catch but Magne Söderberg was lucky. It became 3-5 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. In the 145th minute, the referee gave C.U.E. DE COMERCIO a penalty. Petter Danielsson looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Marcos Ranolfo. The Estudiantes de América supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's performance. The match ended with a win for C.U.E. DE COMERCIO.
