After a rather tough play, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Dagoberto Moraes got a free kick in the 8th minute. If Benjamin da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valentin Bernal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 12 played minutes Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Dracena. Benjamin da Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Bernal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin da Fonseca in the 16th minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Bernal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moisés Santana went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Valentin Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Benjamin da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Bernal was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Igor Milko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Isaac Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Valentin Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin da Fonseca in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Benjamin da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
