Watee Hangpit hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thananiti Cheewawipat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Bizi in the 51st minute of the match. Cirilo Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thananiti Cheewawipat, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thananiti Cheewawipat in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Peyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Chiratorn Wongsanam got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cirilo Peyo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 57th minute, Thananiti Cheewawipat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thailand fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Thailand made a substitution. Wonsakon Choonama replaced Sontaya Peerapattana. Thailand's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chiratorn Wongsanam in the 62nd minute. Watee Hangpit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cirilo Peyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Thailand got a freekick which was hit by Thanan Javaus. After some careless play in the Azulgrana 81 defense, Watee Hangpit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cirilo Peyo. The Azulgrana 81 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cirilo Peyo should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Azulgrana 81's goal looked a bit too open when Pasachai Jitjai came free, but Cirilo Peyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Thailand fans cheered their team off the field, for while Azulgrana 81 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
