The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Bartosz Rusin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 18th minute Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner. Ladislao Cordarius went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Ditlev Delmont managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After having played for 21 minutes, Nick Heesen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Heesen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Nick Heesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartosz Rusin was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Ágætis Byrjun's Michael Roebuck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bartosz Rusin. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Hugó Révész blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Hagberg having to make a save. Georg Hagberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugó Révész, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Nick Heesen notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Keszi Athletic's Bartosz Rusin. Bartosz Rusin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 38 minutes, Nick Heesen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Vaios Vourtzoumis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Keszi Athletic's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ladislao Cordarius took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ágætis Byrjun's corner Ditlev Delmont fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bartosz Rusin quite easily take care of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugó Révész to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Keszi Athletic's Vaios Vourtzoumis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Hagberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugó Révész, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 64 in the game by Hugó Révész from a close distance when the talented Georg Hagberg managed to make a qualified save. Ágætis Byrjun's players were relieved. After 66 minutes Ágætis Byrjun's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquilino Castelo Branco who took care of the corner kick. Bartosz Rusin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Alejandro dos Santos replaced Gert van den Bergh. In the 70th minute of the match Ágætis Byrjun got a corner. Keszi Athletic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ladislao Cordarius ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Gregorio Urtsin to score against Bartosz Rusin in Keszi Athletic's goal. 3-1 after 70 minutes. Bartosz Rusin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Heesen in the 76th minute of the match. If Nick Heesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nick Heesen in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartosz Rusin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ágætis Byrjun's Dennis Moermans was substituted for Ernst Melis. In the 89th minute of the game Jelte Reitsma made a throw-in which Nick Heesen played forward. Jelte Reitsma got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ladislao Cordarius. Bartosz Rusin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Heesen in the 97th minute of play.
