AF CERRADO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AF CERRADO's zone, Mathias Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Seco came out of the goal and Mathias Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save MAZER SAF from getting a goal against them. AF CERRADO's Gil Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Hernández in the 23rd minute of play. Tiago Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Mello. Gil Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 41 minutes, Paulo Renato Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MAZER SAF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Renato Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, MAZER SAF's Manfredo de Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Seco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Paulo Renato Gonçalves took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Seco. Gil Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.

After 53 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Prestes. Toninho Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Bidon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Gonçalves in the 61st minute of play. MAZER SAF's Caco Miranda was substituted for Valdo Sampaio. In the 72nd match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's Pedro Cearense broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. During the 76th minute of the match Tiago Mello completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tiago Mello a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tiago Mello hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Doriva Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breno Bidon hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Gil Seco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Carneiro. 92 minutes into the match, Doriva Carneiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gil Seco, 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MAZER SAF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
