In the 24thth minute of the game Falcão Nóbrega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Fabinho Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Mazza in the 26th minute of play forced Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabinho Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Jardel Favoretto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jardel Favoretto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tarrasque Voador F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jardel Favoretto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 26 minutes into the game, one of Tarrasque Voador F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Olavo de Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Negri to maneuver through the defense. José Paulo Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olavo de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olavo de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute Ernani Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesinha Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Joélson Donatello scored 0-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabinho Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's zone, Ernani Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Xavier came out of the goal and Ernani Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Tarrasque Voador F.C. booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
