In the 15th match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Veiga came free, but José Paulo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Dorival Sarmento got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in GLADIADORES's zone, Falcão Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Prado came out of the goal and Falcão Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Geovani Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Prado narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while GLADIADORES had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
