Cesinha Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Zeca Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Veiga to make the kick off. Agnaldo Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Xavier having to interfere. José Paulo Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Guga Gaspar. Dino Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. José Paulo Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GLADIADORES's Doriva Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Nóbrega in the 66th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, GLADIADORES's Agnaldo Dias made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Paulo Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Enio Moraes hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 88th match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Simões to maneuver through the defense. Rômulo Neves's late challenge caught a Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rômulo Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Doriva Prado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Germano Domingues. In the 95th minute, Guga Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GLADIADORES were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
