He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GLADIADORES reached it. When Maicon Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekzema F.V.'s protests and gave Maicon Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. Maicon Linhares hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, GLADIADORES's Sílvio Cordeiro threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dino Saraiva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 11th minute Dino Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GLADIADORES's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Samuca Tróia notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of GLADIADORES's Doriva Prado. Doriva Prado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Moraes to maneuver through the defense. When Fabinho Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ekzema F.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho Sarmento couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, Oscar Veiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sílvio Cordeiro. Oscar Veiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Samuca Tróia hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sílvio Cordeiro was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Enio Moraes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enio Moraes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Sílvio Cordeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agnaldo Dias in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Oscar Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Cordeiro. Ekzema F.V.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Samuca Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuca Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sílvio Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Veiga's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 70 minutes into the match, Oscar Veiga notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro. Sílvio Cordeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute, Samuca Tróia made a precise shot to the right of Doriva Prado. GLADIADORES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Furtado in the 79th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Doriva Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Ekzema F.V.'s Claudinei Arantes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doriva Prado. Doriva Prado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-4. In the 89th minute, Claudinei Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Doriva Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuca Tróia. The supporters of GLADIADORES booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Flavinho Brodel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Cordeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ekzema F.V. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GLADIADORES.
