In the 17th minute, Kaká Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper José Augusto de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zac Ba Loua. 21 minutes into the game, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Zac Ba Loua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Augusto de Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tadeu Britto hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Goiano came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Paulo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 29th minute of play. Paulo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Goiano in the 41st minute of the match. If Didi Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ defense, Kaká Goiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo de Mendonça. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Zac Ba Loua made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Kaká Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zac Ba Loua scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Augusto de Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Renatinho Leal scored to the left of an out of position Paulo de Mendonça, making the score, 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Rosa during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Didi Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. José Augusto de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zac Ba Loua in the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Perivaldo Pimenta got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Goiano in the 82nd minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Germano Domingues hit a great ball. A hard shot by Richard Travassos from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Paulo de Mendonça's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Goiano in the 87th minute of play. Kaká Goiano had several of the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Paulo de Mendonça as he didn't even see the shot coming. Kaká Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Paulo de Mendonça made a huge save. AF CERRADO played a much better game than Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and deserved their victory. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
