In the 19th minute, Zac Ba Loua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Segundo Gol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacques Stovall in the 23rd minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Gol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zac Ba Loua in the 26th minute. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fletcher Lund took the corner. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Zac Ba Loua took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Segundo Gol to make any attempt to save it. Oscar Price made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Júlio Negri. 39 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fletcher Lund came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fletcher Lund to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Ponta. New England Minas's Segundo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas França in the 54th minute of play. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cássio Pimenta in the 56th minute. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Cássio Pimenta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Segundo Gol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 57 minutes, Zac Ba Loua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zac Ba Loua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Jacques Stovall scored to the left of an out of position Paulo de Mendonça, making the score, 2-1. 63 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Nicolas França sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Segundo Gol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacques Stovall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in New England Minas's zone, Zac Ba Loua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Gol came out of the goal and Zac Ba Loua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Segundo Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zac Ba Loua in the 73rd minute of play. Segundo Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zac Ba Loua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zac Ba Loua in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Gol saved New England Minas from getting behind. Segundo Gol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Verde F.C CIMZ. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
