Palmeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Perivaldo Furlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cris Bala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee showed Washington Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeo Tuste was the one to do the kick off. Palmeiras's Carlos Augusto Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Sarmento in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes, Kılıç Kerim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasiliense FC and the Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Caio Boldrini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
