The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alain Berset struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Joseph Svartengren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espen Steelers. Alain Berset might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph Svartengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alain Berset ran back to his position shaking his head. Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Espen Steelers from getting a goal against them. After 13 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Albert Einstein. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven Hägglund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gregor Kobel. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. A hard shot 21 in the game by Alexei Karamazov from a close distance when the talented Gregor Kobel managed to make a qualified save. Espen Steelers's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alain Berset in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joseph Svartengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alain Berset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joseph Svartengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. If Alain Berset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joseph Svartengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alain Berset in the 30th minute of the match. When Espen Steelers's Alain Berset in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hallstahammar IK's goalie prevented a goal. Joseph Svartengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Wawrinka in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alain Berset in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joseph Svartengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Hallstahammar IK's goal looked a bit too open when Stan Wawrinka came free, but Joseph Svartengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Adolf Papoušek threw the ball into play from the sideline. Espen Steelers's Tobie Canclini quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Albert Einstein got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stan Wawrinka in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Svartengren saved Hallstahammar IK from getting behind. After 46 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Stan Wawrinka. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexei Karamazov was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Karl Nordström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hallstahammar IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espen Steelers the free kick. After 51 played minutes Hallstahammar IK got a freekick which was hit by Karl Nordström. In the 51st minute, Alain Berset got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Adolf Papoušek in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Espen Steelers's Tobie Canclini. 54 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's Alain Berset sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Svartengren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joseph Svartengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alain Berset in the 56th minute. Alain Berset might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph Svartengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alain Berset ran back to his position shaking his head. Alain Berset could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Joseph Svartengren made a huge save. 60 minutes into the game, Alain Berset recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joseph Svartengren. Alain Berset showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ştefan Deșliu took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregor Kobel. Gregor Kobel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Hallstahammar IK from getting a goal against them. Alain Berset's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Joseph Svartengren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Albert Einstein hit a great ball. Espen Steelers's Rogelio Montez was substituted for Alain Berset. In the 77th minute, Espen Steelers's Rogelio Montez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joseph Svartengren. Joseph Svartengren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Espen Steelers's Alex Ioneasa was substituted for Marco Odermatt. Rogelio Montez might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph Svartengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Montez ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Hallstahammar IK's Joseph Svartengren got control of the ball when Rogelio Montez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Rogelio Montez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joseph Svartengren, 2-3. 87 minutes into the match, Hallstahammar IK's goal looked a bit too open when Stan Wawrinka came free, but Joseph Svartengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joseph Svartengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Montez in the 89th minute. After 94 minutes, Albert Einstein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Espen Steelers and the Hallstahammar IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albert Einstein hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Alexei Karamazov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The Hallstahammar IK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Espen Steelers's performance. The match ended with a win for Espen Steelers.
